ReadDavid LOHISSE is counsel and head of the "Employment law - Social welfare law" and "Personal Data" departments in the Brussels office.
He has developed particular expertise in :
- Individual and collective labour disputes ;
- Employment litigation ;
- Due diligence relating to employment law issues ;
- Drafting social documentation (employment contracts, self-employed contracts, company policies (car policy, use of e-mails, etc.)) ;
- Compensation and benefits ;
- Well-being at work ;
- Criminal employment law.
He also holds a certificate of professional training as a Data Protection Officer (D.P.O.), enabling him to advise his clients on all issues regarding the GDPR.
Having always had a keen interest in business-related issues, David LOHISSE first obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from the Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve in 2012, followed by a bachelor’s degree in law from the same university the following year.
He holds a Master’s degree in law, with a focus on business, as well as an additional Master’s degree in employment law, obtained from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2016).
David LOHISSE is a member of the Brussels Bar since 2016 where he began his career with the Claeys & Engels firm before joining Silex as an associate.
